poisonous Serpetta, a cunning maidservant, is plotting in
the dark against Sandrina. Although Maki Hsieh-Leonard plays
the role well, it took extra effort on her part to overcome
her natural friendliness.

maid of a different ilk, Despina, portrayed by Rena Wilson,
impersonates the famous Dr. Mesmer, inventor of magnetic
treatments. Despina is indicating that she has the powers
of the magnet in her pocket.

Ferrando
(Andrew Cox) is disguised as an exotic Albanian and is trying
to win the trust of Fiordiligi (Elizabeth Amisano), with
the help of "Doctor Mesmer."

Fiordiligi's sister, Dorabella (Amy Bouchard) is angry at
Guglielmo (Paul Murray), another faux Albanian, and their
friend, Don Alfonso (Nicolas Aliaga).

phony Doctor Mesmer doesn't like the looks of the contents
of these vessels. The faux Albanians have just swallowed
copious quantities of the "poison" to the consternation
of frightened sisters Fiordiligi (played here by Jennifer
Muhawi) and Dorabella (played here by Leslie Hassberg).

harbor depths in the midst of a sudden storm to terrorize
both the chorus and the principals.
