In Memoriam: Joseph C. Blasczak

Picture
A long-time Board member of the Opera Academy of California, Joseph C. Blasczak, died suddenly at his home in San Francisco on August 12, 2011.

Joe was born in March 1944 and is survived by his sister Bernadine Herron who resides in New Hampshire.  He leaves behind his loving partner Don Steward, best friend Matthew and many other close and dear friends and colleagues, here in the Bay Area as well as throughout the United States.

Joe has been a Board member since the founding of the Opera Academy of California in 2005.  He was very supportive of all our projects together and did whatever it took to make us a success.  His positive attitude and generous nature will be greatly missed.

Besides supporting and contributing to the causes of the Opera Academy of California, Joe made major contributions to help the communities where ever he lived.  In the latest years he had been involved as a volunteer with Project Open Hand and also counseled clients at HICAP.

A contribution can be made to the Opera Academy of California in his honor by clicking the link below.
