Work-Study Scholarships are available to offset tuition expenses for up to $1000. Work hours are calculated based on a market rate equivalent of $15 per hour. Work is related to the administration and functioning of the OAC Summer Program.
If you are interested in a Work-Study Scholarship, please include a letter with your Application Packet. The Work-Study Scholarship Letter must state your intent to apply and describe your qualifications and skills in the areas of office management, costume and make-up, box-office/money handling, marketing, publicity, public relations and promotion, stage management or backstage experience.
Scholarships are awarded only after the entire audition process is complete for each applicant. If you are applying for Work-Study Scholarship, it is in your best interest to get all your materials to us as soon as possible.
Work-Study Scholarship recipients are encouraged to consider extending their stay in San Francisco until July 30, as we have many hours of Work-Study available during strike and clean-up.

OAC Students are responsible for making and financing their own travel to and from San Francisco, as well as organizing and paying for their own living, eating and transportation arrangements. OAC does have an arrangement with a San Francisco Institute of Art dorm for our participants to stay in shared rooms with other OAC participants for $260/week during the program dates. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to reserve a spot.
The Opera Academy of California Summer Program has a Facebook page where students can discuss relevant issues and work out some of these living arrangements as well. OAC is not responsible for any arrangements made using our Facebook page.
OAC has also accumulated a list of local San Francisco residence hotels which will be provided to you upon request. Please e-mail us at email@example.com for more information.
We would like to ask you make all your tuition payments only by check. Please use the button below for donations only. Thank you.
